AI Engineers

About the role

As an AI Engineer you own one or several product domains end to end. You take confirmed requirements and prototypes from the Product Owner and turn them into production-quality software - with AI agents doing the heavy lifting on code generation, test writing, and deployment.

You are not a prompt engineer who reviews AI output passively. You are an architect and reviewer who designs the system, sets the standards, and ensures that what ships is correct, secure, and maintainable.

The opportunity

We are rebuilding how software gets built. Our platform helps companies manage digital supply chains - bookings, carrier coordination, live tracking, and customer notifications. It runs at scale, and it needs to grow fast.

We are transforming our engineering organization around agentic development: AI agents assist at every stage of the process, from requirements and prototyping through to coding, testing, deployment and monitoring. The result is a leaner, faster, higher-quality engineering operation.

We are looking for AI Engineers who want to be at the center of that transformation - not as an experiment, but as the new permanent way of working.

Core responsibilities

  • Own the design and implementation of your product domains
  • Translate prototypes and epics into production-ready architecture
  • Write the Agent Briefing (AGENTS.md) for your codebase so AI agents work correctly within your system
  • Review and approve all agent-generated code before it merges
  • Maintain test coverage above 85% - agents generate the tests, you set the standards
  • Operate your services in production - you build it, you run it
  • Continuously improve the prompt library and development guidelines for your domain
  • Mentor junior engineers in agentic workflows

Product domains

Depending on experience, you will own 1–3 domains. Examples of domains:

  • Booking & carrier management
  • Shipment tracking & event processing
  • Time slot management
  • Customer notifications
  • Carrier availability & integration
  • Analytics & reporting
  • Identity & access management
  • API gateway & platform services

Who you are

You take full ownership of what you build and hold yourself to high standards - in code, decisions, and outcomes. You’re hands-on, pragmatic, and driven to solve real problems, not just ship features. You challenge both yourself and others to improve, while contributing to a team where accountability and collaboration go hand in hand.

Key capabilities & qualifications

To thrive in this role, you need to have:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering
  • Production experience with common development languages and concepts.
  • Solid understanding of REST API design and event-driven architecture
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in real work — not just toy projects
  • Ability to critically review AI-generated code for correctness, security and maintainability
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated test suites
  • Comfort operating services in production - logging, alerting, incident response

In addition, it’s a bonus if you have:

  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport platforms
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and LLM evaluation
  • Experience writing Agent Briefing files (AGENTS.md / system prompts)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and IaC (Terraform)
  • Contributions to internal developer tooling or platform teams
  • Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms
